Mariano Curiel

Mariano is a senior polar guide and expedition leader, an expedition cruise professional with a demonstrated history of experience in the execution and management of operations. He first witnessed Antarctica at young age, just after obtaining a university degree in Strategic Planning and Communications in Buenos Aires. For over twenty years he has been guiding and leading projects in the Antarctic, Greenland, and Svalbard and has participated in more than two hundred sea, land, and ice-based polar expeditions. He has been working with Antarctica21since the year 2010, starting in the field and later contributing to the executive management of the operations, specializing in expedition performance and team development. Also acting as one of the company representatives at IAATO (International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators), as well as being one of the founding members and former vice-President of the Polar Tourism Guides Association (PTGA), becoming 2016 the first one in his country to ski across Greenland.
