Beate Zein

Beate is a passionate marine biologist who specialized in behavior biology during her studies. She has worked in different research projects, mostly with marine animals, in 8 different countries including the Galapagos Islands, Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, and Norway. At the moment, she is working on her doctoral thesis where she is looking into the effect of the Earth magnetic field on the migration of birds. Environmental education is an important part of her life and she started guiding in 2006. Since 2016 Beate has been lecturing on expedition ships in the Arctic and Antarctic and has even reached the North Pole.
