As the 2025-26 Antarctica air-cruise season is starting, we are delighted to share exciting enhancements for our guests traveling on our expedition cruises to the Seventh Continent.
Betiana Gil, our Product & Experience Manager, brings over 25 years of international hospitality expertise to create unforgettable journeys and the signature boutique style of Antarctica21. In this interview, she shares first-hand insights into the season’s experience updates, including new high-end binoculars for wildlife observation and elevated culinary discoveries with high-quality local products such as the world’s southernmost caviar.
The 2025-26 season brings new upgrades for the travelers’ experience. Can you tell us about them?
For the 2025-26 season, we’re very excited to introduce several new features that will further enhance our guests’ experience, both in Punta Arenas, our gateway to Antarctica, and on board our small ships. We've forged a new partnership with Leica, which will allow us to have binoculars from the Sport Optics line on board for sale and loan. Through this partnership, guests will be able to enjoy premium binoculars during their voyage, adding a new level of detail to wildlife and landscape observation.
The internet service has also been upgraded, with a new, improved system that allows a faster and more stable connection and includes 20GB of complimentary data per guest.
Culinary-wise, we’re proud to offer Kenoz, the world’s southernmost caviar, a unique local delicacy sustainably produced in Patagonia, and we have also introduced a great selection of Chilean wines from different brands like Concha y Toro, Perez Cruz, Emiliana, La Rosa, among others, and regional jams and honeys.
For each of our seasons, our teams are committed to combining comfort, exclusivity, and a sense of place in every detail of the Antarctica21 experience.
How do innovation, service, style, and sustainability shape each Antarctica21 expedition?
The Antarctica21 Experience is thoughtfully crafted to combine innovation, quality service, boutique style, and sustainability in every aspect of our expeditions. By flying over the Drake Passage, we offer a pioneering and efficient way to reach Antarctica, allowing guests to spend more time where it truly matters. Our small-scale, boutique approach not only ensures personalized attention and a warm, welcoming atmosphere both onboard and ashore, but also allows for longer and more flexible landings with only 76 guests. We do not operate in shifts rotation, giving everyone more time to fully enjoy each site.
Our commitment to quality is reflected in the dedication of our team and the high standards of service we deliver, while sustainability remains central to everything we do, from operating responsibly and minimizing our environmental footprint to supporting conservation and education initiatives that protect this remarkable region for future generations.

How do partnerships with local suppliers enhance the onboard experience?
Working with local suppliers allows us to bring the spirit and flavors of southern Chile and Patagonia directly to our guests. These partnerships with brands such as Kenoz Caviar and a selection of national producers of lamb, fish, jams, honey, and wines help us showcase the authenticity and richness of the region we operate in and the people we collaborate with.
By highlighting these local products, we create a deeper connection between our guests and the territory, allowing them to experience its culture and craftsmanship in a genuine and memorable way. It’s also another expression of our boutique philosophy: offering high-quality, meaningful details that make each voyage truly unique.
Our travelers value locally sourced products, whether in Chile, Argentina, Port Stanley, or elsewhere. At Antarctica21, we highly value offering products from the places we call. It helps to reduce our carbon footprint and highlights the roots of where our company was born through premium, locally sourced items.
